Crafting 101 & A Brief History Lesson

How It All Started
In the beginning, there was once a humble shop in the streets of New Tokyo ran by Wagmi-san, a man of honor, who opened his shop doors to the community on September 16, 2021. For three days straight, he crafted derivatives of select PFP (“Profile Picture“) projects into High Tops with varying rarities before taking a well-needed break and promising his return on Thursday. The rules were simple: NFT holders must have commercial rights to their PFP’s and Wagmi-san would consider crafting them. On that following Thursday, he stayed open as long as he could crafting High Tops AND Daypacks, but after being open for seven hours, he had to make a fast getaway from the shop and closed the doors again. With a mint price of .05 ETH (~$88 USD), these crafted items became known as the Genesis items with 14,785 in total to ever be created, and the projects that ultimately received Wagmi-san’s craftsmanship were 0N1 Force, Cool Cats, Forgotten Rune Wizards, Pudgy Penguins, World of Women, Bored Ape Kennel Club, Mutant Ape Yacht Club, and Bored Ape Yacht Club.
Enter the Toadz
While we love Gremplin for all that he does, these Toadz sure know how to keep Wagmi-san on his toes. They just won’t stay away from the shop, and keep trying to jack the materials. Somehow, they even managed to get their webbed feet on 71 Genesis items, and burned them in a fire! This posed a serious problem for Wagmi-san, so he came up with a new way of hiding them from the Toadz by creating Level 1 materials for the community to craft and create “Blanks.”
Wen Shop Open?
This is a question that gets asked all the time, and to be frank, no one really knows. There’s always a hunch as to when we think the shop might be open based on clues the community receives, but ultimately, we have to rely on communications from 10KTF’s Discord or Twitter profile. With that said, it is important to remember that crafting only takes place on 10KTF’s official website (www.10KTF.com) and missions are exclusively on Battle Town’s site (battle.town). Level 1 Tools
While these tools were originally required in combination with the materials below to craft their respective blanks, they eventually became the first items used for staking purposes, allowing the community to use them for crafting. There is still a lot we don’t know about these Level 1 tools as of the time of writing (August 2022), but we do expect the team will provide more clarity on them soon.
